National Children's Month 2024 is celebrated during the month of November in the Philippines with the theme: "Break the Prevalence, End the Violence: Protecting Children, Creating a Safe Philippines." This year's celebration is focused on raising awareness of violence against children. There are enjoyable activities that will be held during the celebration such as flag racing ceremony, children's congress, house of representatives, etc.
According to DILG, "Pursuant to Republic Act No. 10661, the National Children's Month (NCM) or also known as the "Buwan ng mga Bata" in the Philippines is annually celebrated every November to commemorate the adoption of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) on 20 November 1989. It seeks to instill its significance in the Filipino consciousness and to sustain the promotion and protection of children's right", which plays an important role in raising awareness about child-related issues, such as child labor, child abuse, and child trafficking.
As we celebrate this month, it is a time to reflect on the importance of children in our lives. We must work together to create a healthier environment for their future as we celebrate this month. Let's leave a mark for them to cherish these moments
